The Core Difference

About Having a Musculoskeletal Scan

Specialised imaging (usually utilising high-resolution Ultrasound or MRI) specifically targeted at diagnosing injuries and conditions in your muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints.

What is MSK Imaging?

Uniquely, the sonographer may ask you to move your joint, flex your muscles, or replicate the movement that causes you pain while they are scanning, allowing them to see the tissue in real-time action!

For an MSK Ultrasound, the sonographer will apply warm gel and move a probe over the painful area.

How is it performed?
