About Core Radiology

Two women are sitting on a cream-colored patio couch, engaged in conversation. One woman has brown hair and is wearing a blue dress, holding a glass of water. The other woman has black hair, is dressed in a red suit, and is holding a folder. They are in a bright, modern space with large windows, indoor plants, and a small white table with books and a potted plant between them.

Core Radiology was founded with a simple goal:

To bring humanised, compassionate care to medical imaging.

Our practice was founded by a specialist radiologist who, together with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals, saw an opportunity to do things differently to build a clinic that truly puts patients first.

Independent, family-led and proudly South Australian, we make your comfort and wellbeing our priority. From the moment you arrive at reception to the moment your doctor receives your results, we take the time to keep you informed and supported every step of the way.

Your Healthcare, Your Choice

You have the right to choose where you receive your medical imaging. We proudly accept all valid referrals, even if your doctor has printed your request on another clinic’s form or letterhead.

We Accept All Referrals

High-quality healthcare should be within reach of everyone in our local community. We offer bulk billing on selected Medicare-eligible scans for eligible patients, including pensioners and health care card holders.

With our commitment to complete financial transparency, you'll never face surprises, you'll know exactly what's covered before your appointment begins."

Accessible Bulk Billing

We know that life is unpredictable. For all general X-rays, you don’t need to worry about making a booking. Simply walk into our clinic with your valid referral, and our team will look after you as quickly as possible.

No Appointment Needed for General X-Rays

We know that medical imaging can sometimes feel overwhelming. If you have any questions about your referral, how to prepare for your scan, or finding the right appointment time, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Our friendly local team is always happy to have a chat and make sure you feel completely comfortable before your visit.

Preparing for Your Visit

We want to make your appointment as smooth and stress-free as possible. When you arrive for your scan, please remember to bring:

  • Your valid doctor's referral

  • Your Medicare Card (and any Concession or DVA cards)

  • Any previous X-rays or scans related to your current issue

While general X-rays require no preparation, some specialised scans (like certain ultrasounds) might require you to fast or drink water beforehand. Our team will give you specific instructions when you book, or you can check our detailed preparation guide below.
